Snowboarding the Fun Box at Beaver Creek “Lumber Yard”

At Beaver Creek Resort, they call one of their terrain parks the “Lumber Yard”. It is a nice one with some natural-looking features but I think it’s a bit short. Either way, enjoy this ULTRA-short video of my first attempt at the fun box. Some videos can be used for learning but not this one.

You don’t have to be good to enjoy snowboarding.

If you aren’t having fun, you’re doing it wrong.

This snowboarding video was taken on the Gold Dust Trail at Beaver Creek, CO in December ‘09.

The camera (GoPro Wide) was mounted in the front of the board… or I was sliding on my head. I, I, I can’t remember.

Buffalo Bayou Regatta Map

The yearly Buffalo Bayou Regatta is right about the corner. It is a 15 mile kayak and canoe race along Buffalo Bayou in Houston. It starts at, well see the map.

The race is SOON - Saturday March 13th.

Wakeboarding Lake Houston with GoPro Helmet Cam

This is a GoPro Helmet Cam video taken while wakeboarding on Lake Houston near the dam. The camera is not actually mounted on a helmet. I used the head strap for this one and tied the strap to my vest with a small “life line”. The point of view is really cool and you can expect more of these in the future.

FYI - The GoPro camera DOES NOT FLOAT on it’s own.

The boat is a ChrisCraft Natique Sport - not sacked out that day since we were just playing around. We also shot videos from the boat but the camera doesn’t get much detail at that distance so the shots were pretty useless.
