This is brilliant if you ask me. I saw this post on Engadget a few minutes ago and they got it from Wired. A grad student at a University in Houston (probably University of Houston) did not want to pay the twelve hundred bucks to get his car’s A/C repaired so he bolted a home unit to the top of his car. Genius, crazy, cheap? Whatever - it’s funny. Yes, it looks like something you would see in some third world country (or Louisiana) but it’s funny.
If I saw this driving down the street (and I live in H-town) I would say, “awesome.” The only thing I thought was retarded were most of the comments on the Engadget and Wired posts. From insults to suggestions about he should have designed it…jeez people.
